Welcome to the Wantsum Sports Association web site.

The Wantsum Sports Association exists to run, manage and administer the facilities and activities (which include social and sporting events) the at the Bell Meadow on behalf of St Nicholas at Wade with Sarre Parish Council.

The WSA Committee comprises representatives from the affiliated sports clubs, village residents and the Parish Council.

Dog Mess at Bell Meadow

Dog mess on the playing fields (and around the village) is an increasing problem. We welcome dogs at Bell Meadow - but please ensure that you always clean up after your dog and do not allow it to mess on the football pitches or any other play areas. Dog Bins are provided.

Dog mess contains a parasitic worm (Toxacara Canis) which can cause blindness in humans.

Children play on these fields - they are particularly at risk because of their innocence and their habit of putting their fingers in their mouths and rubbing their eyes.

Remember - the parasitic worm can live in the grass even after the mess has been cleaned up!

If the problem persists, we may be forced to use the pavilion CCTV to identify the culprits. Thank you for your co-operation in this important matter.
