The St Nicholas at Wade Youth FC is a junior football coaching club run on Saturday mornings at Bell Meadow by Dean Edwards.

Dads love football! Every week we drag ourselves out of bed early on a Saturday morning to hold a training session for any budding David Beckhams out there. The ages of the children are varied - from 5 years old all the way up to 12 years old - but they are all encouraged to mix together.

The 1.5 hour session begins at 9.00am with a gentle warm up leading into some skills training. As the majority of kids are quite young the training concentrates on three main things:

Ability to use both feet to control, pass and shoot
Ability to pass the ball
Ability to talk (well I really mean shout....!!!) on a football pitch

After the skills session we break into groups to have a fun and friendly football match before a weekly presentation of trophies based on effort, fair play, bravery etc.

New players are always welcome, but there are limits to the number of kids that can be safely coached, so please contact Dean to check if there are any available spaces.
